more than a month has passed since the Fellowship of the Ring left Imladris, the day of departure is now a distant memory for us all. The journey for me as an elf is not difficult, we proceed slowly in nature. What proved difficult was it to start a journey together with nine people so different. The first problems were born with Gimli: dwarves and elves have minded too different to get along, and so it is with us. It is an annoyance that we can not pass each other, sometimes I thought that others were getting tired of feeling constantly bickering, but then I realize that all of this for they can have a fun side. I often see the hobbits smile of our squabbles, our daily challenge to follow this probably helps keep the mind occupied and avoid getting lost in the dark.
mezziuomini I like these four small. They are affectionate and confusing, constantly singing nursery rhymes and poems and improvise on any event. And these songs I can read their homesickness, love for their simple world they want to completely return. Even they are natural, they are afraid of what they are going to meet. They are not warriors, only now are learning to handle weapons, despite everything going on, and this great strength in human as well small and weak it is almost touching.
Boromir, the man from Gondor, is slowly showing its weaknesses. Perhaps his only real weakness is the hope he saw too much blood flow to Gondor, too many lives taken away from the evil of Mordor. His mind was seduced by the idea that the Ring can be used against Sauron, the Dark Lord, and bring victory to the men. Maybe it was the ring and make him believe, hoping to be taken away from Frodo. Boromir is not evil, just weak, like most men, and I know that I can not trust him completely. I started to watch it, and more than once I saw him look at the ring hidden with eager eyes and turned who knows what thoughts. Estel also has noticed, he keeps an eye on. There was enough for a knowing glance, a few days after departure, to realize that the same mind. We can not trust him completely.

Estel instead is revealing all his unique abilities. From the many journeys of his life he learned many things: it is able to choose the best routes to follow, read the traces on the ground, listening to the sounds of nature. The security that shows on the way it is comforting for all, and every problem has always a solution. But how much uncertainty in his eyes when he sits on the sidelines, in his turn on duty or off, when he believes that no one is looking, and his blank stare reflects every fear, every insecurity, every fear. I have often wondered what exactly do you think, in those moments. Definitely try to imagine the future, trying to foresee the dangers that we might encounter, but certainly also his thoughts go back to Imladris, for Arwen.
I too have often thought of her. I saw the night before departure. It was not a chance encounter, I had waited in the hallway, in front of large window overlooking the garden. He looked at me as we move into the dark, big eyes and sad that glowed in the starlight.
"Stay with close," he said, "He is brave, but is not an elf. It does not have our hearing, our view. I ... I'm afraid. Watch over him, I beg you. "
How much anguish in the words whispered almost with fear. I smile spontaneously, and I shook hands, realizing when to shake.
" It'll be okay 'I said, trying to reassure her.
Perhaps it was then that I decided that I would be next, I would have helped me in every way possible. Arwen As I promised, I did even to myself, I would have followed to Finally, with devotion, despite the confusing situation that had developed between us.

Estel I wanted, but belongs to Arwen. I can not put myself in their midst, I can not do that to her, who loves him to the point give him his immortal life. I wondered if I'd be willing to give him a gift like that, my heart trembled, and gave me the answer. Estel but can not be mine.
When I was assigned this mission I did not hesitate to leave. I wanted to accompany Frodo, help him destroy the Ring, I wanted to fight to protect my people.
If it were not for this trip I'd be back in my kingdom, and I would have moved away from him. But even away I could not forget him, now entered in my heart, as a desire and regret not feasible. Several times I repeated that the best thing would be forgotten, I just wanted to impose to stand by him as a fellow warrior, but too often I find myself thinking about that kiss exchanged in rushing yard of the Palace of Elrond, to everything I had felt beside him in the days before, when I did not know that his heart belongs to Arwen. That could not be mine. By now I realized that my heart will be his forever, whatever our destiny.

Since we started we never talked about what happened between us, even at times when we move away from the rest of the company for exploration. Only exchanged a few words and avoid looking into his eyes. Despite this, I can clearly perceive the great uneasiness that tries in vain to hide. Estel still want me, I know. And this certainty consumes me day after day.

Often, I have to take the first watch: I stay on his feet, leaning against a tree, or sometimes I sit on a rock to scan the horizon. My receptivity tells me every sound, every movement around them. I noticed that he never falls asleep immediately, stretches out on his bed, is wrapped in the mantle and is staring at a long, hidden by shadows.
clearly feel her eyes fixed on me.
His gaze is so intense that I can feel the warm, almost palpable, as it moves on me. It is perched on my face, focusing on his lips, then slid along the neck, shoulders and the rest of the body as a boiling wake. Never
I said turning to him, never I wanted at that moment our eyes met. I always pretended not to notice, secretly relishing the look that caress me, lighting the fire within me. I do not want to know how I like to know to be desired by him.

The loss of Gandalf was a very hard blow for the members of the company. It had fallen into the depths of the Mines of Moria to save the enormous Balrog behind her. It happened so quickly that no one could comprehend, and accept it. Aragorn was the first to react, and to urge them to stand up and go: the enemies guarding them, they could not stop. As he spoke, masked his pain behind the thin mask of security behind which he hid a daily basis, only an eye like that of Legolas could see his suffering. So they were put back on the road hoping to reach Lothlorien before sunset. They advanced in silence, each collected in their thoughts and their pain. In the late afternoon, they reached the river, continue along the shore until they found a vantage point across. Emerged from the water of large boulders which were wedged between the different branches and a trunk carried by the stream, formed after all what could be described as a shift, certainly the only one who could hope to find.
began to walk up THAT UNSTABLE path in single file. The hobbits, frightened by the noise and the power of water, very slow struggling to keep his balance. Merry and Pippin were holding hands making courage to each other. Suddenly Frodo slipped and fell into the river, but managed to cling readily to one of the few branches coming out from the trunk wedged between the boulders. As soon as the ring touched the water, the river seemed to swell for a moment. Now Aragorn, who was closest to him, he ran to his aid, walking in the trunk balance reached out and tried to help him recover. The clothes and the coat soaked with water making it difficult to climb, he managed just a hoist and deliver it to Boromir, who was the branch on which lever broke and fell into the river itself. He managed to cling to another branch, towards the end of the trunk.
Boromir took a step closer to trying.
"Wait, I am going," Legolas stopped him. "I'm lighter than you"
"None of us are fairly light 'said Gimli," the wood is rotten and will not stand. "
The elf took his quiver from her shoulders and handed it to the nano.
"I try to help," he said, "If I fall into the water, too, will ask the current downstream ports. You go down this road, you will meet the guardians of Lothlorien." He advanced on the trunk with incredible lightness until you reach the point at which clung Aragorn, his hand outstretched toward him, but just when he was about to grab the branch to which they had clung to the fugitive broke and he disappeared into the water turbines. Legolas turned to the others:
"I'll take it. Continue, we'll reach"
"No!" The current take you out! " cried Boromir.
"I know this water does not betray me," said the elf and dived.

water received him with suspicion, even frightened by the Ring. The elf desperately swam up to Aragorn, grabbed his arm and drew him close. He was unconscious, perhaps he had hit his head. With great effort he returned to the surface took it with him, trying to hold his head above water gone mad. Drifts down to the valley where the river was a big curve and the current was less strong. Swimming with all his strength he managed to get close to shore. With the corner of my eye saw a slight movement in the trees around it: the guardians of the Golden Wood had seen them. One of the elves warriors threw a rope, grabbed her and Legolas is swept ashore. Rúmil, the elder brother of Haldir, helped him out of the water.
"What happened?" he asked in alarm, recognizing Aragorn unconscious man who held his arms.
While the prince explained what had happened, was accompanied within the forest, in one of the huts built on trees. They helped to lay man on a makeshift bed and made sure of his condition: he was just unconscious and shivering, would recover soon.
Rúmil burning something in a small brazier closed, resting on a stone shelf.
"I must go now," he said "we have problems at the border. Pull up the rope ladder when we get off, this place is quiet but it is best to do the same. Shaft near there are other guards and a healer, if Do you need anything call them. "

When the guard came down, Legolas withdrew the scale and wrapped next to the hatch. Aragorn then emptied, dried it with a towel and wrapped in a blanket. He stood a moment looking at him, he was pale. He undressed in turn, wiped the least worst and slipped under the blanket beside him. The arm around her, her body was cold, his breathing slow and almost imperceptible. He lay on top of him, embracing him, in an attempt to warm it. Put her face on her neck, breathing in the smell of her skin, so different from that of the elves had the scent of the wild countries of the North, the wind and wet ground by torrential rain. Parted lips and touched it with his tongue, he wanted to feel its taste, as if in that way he could get closer to him. And he wanted to hear everything, even the cold that made him tremble, if only he could. He closed his eyes, clasping to him, trying to reach him, begging him to wake up.

was cold all around, but the body lying on top of him infuse warmth and security. He regained consciousness slowly, little by little. Touch was the first thing he had regained, was aware of being naked, wrapped in a blanket, and someone lying on him hugging him. Someone from the body heat and light, which enveloped him softly, her hair fell to the side, stroking his back. And his skin smelled sweet and delicate, like the flowers that hide in the grass before bloom. Legolas was, he knew. He had plunged into the river for him, and had succeeded in reaching it. The latest pictures resurface from memory showed his face from the contract effort to counter the current tightening of the arms that caught him and squeezed in water turbines, and all around became dark and cold. He could not see anything in the memories that confused stunning.

was now fully awake, the body was finally warming up, thanks to the warmth of the elf. Slowly raised his arms up to the girding him back. It shook him slightly, gripped by conflicting feelings. Find that being naked had given a sense of insecurity, feeling his arms wrapped around him, his heart pounding in my chest calm, regular breathing near your ear, it was something soothing, but at the same time, along with full contact with his skin smooth and warm, it was terribly exciting.
Shortly before he had heard, whispering something, but he could not decipher the words, and then the feeling of his lips laid on the neck, tongue that had grazed the skin. A touch damp and hot, which was filled with thrills. Maybe I had imagined, had been only his fancy, a wish. Groaned, in the arduous attempt to open his eyes. When he managed to lift his eyelids, he met the elf's face close to his blue eyes that seemed to glow in the dark.

"I removed her clothes because they were wet, and I'm lying about you to warm. Your body was so cold ... "
As he spoke he bowed his head slightly to the side, very close to his lips.
" I am still a bit 'so, you need to keep warm. Now rested, we're safe here. "

Aragorn nodded, swaying to the sound of his voice. He shook a little hands on her back, she heard him shaking almost imperceptibly as his body reacted, and his excitement grew against him . They smiled, looking into his eyes and blushed slightly, embarrassed, both too excited.
"rest" the elf whispered in his ear.
The man closed his eyes and slowly sank back to sleep.

had gone only a few hours when he awoke. He saw that Legolas had slipped sideways, his arms still wrapped around him softly. It was now night, the silvery rays of the moon came through the cracks of the beams that made up the ceiling. He sat up, looking around to try to recognize the place where they were. The room was rather small, with a hatch on the floor. A small grate on a stone shelf, a few blankets and clothes laid out on a bench.
"We are one of the lodges of the guardians of the Golden Forest" Legolas said, guessing her thoughts.
She turned towards him. The elf was watching him from behind his blue eyes, was left lying on its side, the blanket deviated that covered only up to the hips, his head leaning to one side, rosy lips slightly parted.
could not help but watch his body designed by the faint light at night, it was different from his, more like that of his two brothers, and perhaps even more slender but still muscular and perfectly proportioned. Almost without realizing it, reached out to him touching the skin white and smooth, and his eyes slid down the rest of the body. His fingers reached the pendant around his neck, attached to a thin silver chain.
"It was my mother," the elf's voice was almost a whisper.
A ray of moonlight illuminated the pendant on the chest of Aragorn making the shining gems, elf's gaze moved on it. The ranger smiled, as if the moon had him cornered, lighting up the court at that time, to force him to talk. But it was the right thing, was something that had to be faced, sooner or later.
"This is Arwen," he said.
"... It is one of your promise?"
waited a moment before answering.
"I was. But now, many things have changed."
"I do not ever talked. Why?"
"When I met you I have not been sure of my feelings. I know I should tell you the truth, but I was afraid"
"What?"
"to lose. But you lose the stesso.

"That's why you approached me? To forget?" asked the elf.
"No". He answered immediately, on impulse, almost scared to let him believe such a thing. Then he paused a moment to gather his thoughts. It was so hard to open the door to his heart, but it was no use denying it now.
"I know that I can not celarti of all my feelings, so it's useless to try to lie. I spoke with Arwen, I said that our love is impossible. I have not talked to you, because even if I had not met , our story would have ended the same. Becoming mortal means for her to follow me into death, and that I can not accept. should remain with his people, is to which it belongs, like you belong there. "

Legolas remained silent, pondering how those words.

The man continued:" I remember you and I we met again, when I was a child. But in my memory the image of your face was confused with that of your brothers, and now I could not remember much more than your golden hair. I was very young ... but you and you were probably the same as how you have now. "

He took a short break, almost swallowing hard and looked away from her.

" For you, very little has gone since then, for me almost half the years of my life . When I saw you, I was immediately attracted to you, and I knew what I felt was something different from what I've always felt for Arwen. Something more profound and intense, and equally wrong. "

Legolas waited a moment, then stretched his arms and pulled him on top of him, lying on his back.

" Maybe something is mistaken, but I do not think it's wrong. "

"I remain what I am, a man. And you're an elf, an immortal. "

The elf closed his eyes and surrounds him with his arms crossed on his back.
" You must not think of it, "she whispered, her face nestled in her hair still slightly damp "Not now."

In reality he was not to take thought. Too many times he had wondered what she felt for him, and too often the answer shocked him. The first time I saw him, he had not wanted to think about their diversity, and so he wanted to continue to do. He did not want to think about the future, what this could mean. Not now.
"I do not think of us as different creatures," she said almost whispering next to his ear. "We are two warriors, and in this we are equal. We are doing the same trip, we have the same mission. We have to protect Frodo and the Ring. You are our guide, I will follow you and help you. We are two warriors Estel, nothing more. " The
pulled back a little and caught between his lips. Aragorn let him, almost without reacting. His words echoed in the mind, and there was only one way they could be interpreted: the elf was physically attracted to him but did not love him. For this problem would not arise on his death. Besides, how could an elf love a mortal man? He swallowed, trying in vain to untie the knot he felt in his throat, knowing it was so bad in some way away. He could have his body but not his heart, so it was fitting that it was. He closed his eyes and stuck his tongue into her mouth.

remained so for a very long time to kiss languidly losing one's arms while his hands were already moving on the skin of the arms, chest and back.
Suddenly Aragorn stood on one side to catch his breath, stroked the elf's face and continued to stare long as she could feed her beauty. Slid his hands along her body following the profile of the muscles, pausing at some point with the palm, as if to impress upon the memory the texture of the skin. He was excited to shake, even the elf's body trembled. He bent over him to kiss him again, while his hands moved downward, reaching the stomach, hips and thighs eventually. She felt him shake a little stronger, for a moment while spreading his legs slightly, as if to invite him to continue. He traced his hand along the inside of her thighs up to the groin, stroking gently where the skin was smoother and more sensitive.
The elf opened his eyes and put her hands on her arms, clenching his fingers around the biceps.
"Would you stop me?" asked the ranger.
"No. .."
"So let go, do nothing"
Legolas dropped his arms on the blanket and closed his eyes.
continued to stroke it slowly, without haste, he wanted to savor every moment of the growth of her pleasure. He could not tear his eyes from his face, eyelids lowered, the features that softened the movement of the hand, the breathing became gradually more intense and breathless. The body was stretched with small tremors, followed by sighs more strong, moist skin of his forehead shining under the faint moonlight.
closed fist on him more firmly, only to hear him breathing harder, as she slowly lost control of himself. And when she saw him bend his head to one side, as if to hide, asked him not to.
"Please, look left," she said, and he realized what the request was risky. But the words were out of impulse, could not take his eyes from his face.
The elf did so, turning her face towards him while his cheeks are slightly tinged with red. Aragorn pressed his lips in front of that vision at the same time seductive and innocent, and tremendously exciting. He bent down again once on him and kissed his lips trembling that opened up immediately and pushed his tongue into her mouth and let her move at the same pace of the hand, taken from the feverish desire to give pleasure. This continued for a time that seemed at once too long and the short, enjoying his pleasure, enjoying every moan and sigh, each movement of her body.

A groan louder, muffled against her lips, then felt his hands on the deck and tapping it with the basin is pushed deeper into his hand. Aragorn stood up again, pointing to his elbow to hold the torso and began to watch him breathing faster and faster. The elf opened his
eyes and stared for a moment with a dazed look, almost surprised, before her arms around, as if clinging to him, abandoning herself to ecstasy. The close of his arms, the groans of pleasure, the hot seed gushed through his fingers brought Aragorn to the limit: a choking cry she fell upon him, melting against his side.

Legolas had gotten into the habit of walking alone in the gardens in the evening. The Royal Palace of Imladris was very different from that of the Wooded Realm, was different and the garden that surrounded him. The trees were thinner, more elegant and perhaps belonged to some species that had rarely seen, and so are the flowers that adorned the huge flower beds. He liked to watch them, wrapped in their perfume, and listen to them. Plants were different from those that grew in his kingdom, and had new things to tell him. They had never suffered as much as those of Mirkwood, but even they were afraid he could hear it clearly. Perceived evil, even though it was far from done.
Walking in the garden, relaxed, and helped him to distraction. The events of the previous days he had been very upset, he felt tired and alone. Celebrían lady was still in worrying conditions, the wounds were healed in the body, but could not overcome the horrible memories of his captivity. Remained locked in his apartment and received only the family members. Legolas could not help but think that even his mother if he had saved, he would strascorso a long time in that state. Instead Elladan had fully recovered, and this calmed a little.

what continues to trouble him was the thought of Aragorn. He had only a few days to meet him, but he liked it immediately. He was fine with him, had spent hours on end talking about many different topics, as if they had known all along.
He had seen many things in him, and everyone liked them. He had seen his courage, respect for people, loyalty and value. And the sweet, unexpected, unpredictable, with whom he was close when he saw him distressed. He had warmed my heart, and access a flame now burning low, hidden, but always present. Something small and reassuring in him. Something that did not yet know clearly read and understand. What
felt for him? A great physical attraction, for sure. He wished, and perhaps it had always wanted, from the first moment he had known.
How long were those few days when they were separated! He had thought about him constantly, praying that Glorfindel found him, distressed at not see her again. And as soon as he could had met along the road. When she met him on the bank of the river, had smiled. Even Aragorn
he wanted, and how they had responded to his smile had confirmed him. They had looked for one brief moment, but their eyes had said something, had heard him clearly. As you were saying something their hands while they huddled to help the fugitive to come on horseback, and they said something their bodies, as he felt his arms Gird up your loins. The return trip, especially remembered the feeling of warm body holding him tight, his fingers sought her, touching at every opportunity, as if they were looking forward to something. Impatience, most common among men with whom the elves, had had a strange effect, there was something fresh and exciting.

Then come to Imladris, had had enough and found themselves still concerning you in the eye to understand what they wanted both, and that string, that kiss with passion was like a relief, a release something that had been suppressed, because it could not be shown in front of others. Something secret, urgent and necessary. And huge. Something that could not yet fully understand, and that troubled him.
A shiver ran through her back every time I think of that moment. But each time, recalled that Elrohir had said only a few minutes later.

are very much in love.

shook his head. Flirty. How could she be in love with Arwen, and have behaved like that with him? He felt disappointed and did not even know what he exactly.
Legolas was unable to lie to himself, at least not for too long. That situation it was forced to think, to ask what those feelings were a bit 'stirred the heart and that until now had always pretended not to see.
Aragorn liked. And they wanted. But for the first time he realized that satisfy physical desire would not be enough. Without realizing it, he wanted to be in his heart, and there he only. He had him show his love for another person, who had made him suffer. He felt betrayed, even if they had no right, he realized. Aragorn had never talked about his feelings, he had only hinted to want it, it was probably only attracted by his appearance. Nothing else.

He stopped in front of a tree, putting her hand on the trunk, his fingers absently followed the designs of the cortex. Suddenly he heard the sound of water, without realizing it had come close to the stream. When one looks dated back to the shore, where the wet grass sparkled under the stars and suddenly became aware of them. Aragorn and Arwen, standing facing each other, in the midst of slender bridge, hands in hands. Their profile is cut in the night, designed by the faint moonlight.
That vision made him evil, an evil that could not explain and understand, but he felt like burning down her throat that prevented him from close cruel breath.
Was that love?

Come poteva dire di amare Arwen ed essersi let it go that way with him?

Absorbed in these thoughts, he continued to walk aimlessly, without wondering where he was going. When he stopped he realized to be back near the palace. He did not want to get into her room, leaned his back against a tree and closed his eyes. He wanted to relax and clear your mind of everything. He was tired. And confused.

It was not so long ago when she heard noises near. He recognized the light step of the man who for too long was the center of his thoughts. Had approached him and stopped a few feet away from him. He opened his eyes slowly and watched in silence, without removing the back from the tree.

"I passed near here, and I saw you, "he said shortly after the fugitive, as if to justify his presence.

Legolas continued to stare in silence.

" Everything okay? "Aragorn ventured closer until you get really close to him.

not Legolas replied, continuing to observe the light blue of the moon. He paused on facial features. ... Perhaps what pleases him, if he had approached more, he still felt the warmth of his body, the scent of her skin. And perhaps would have felt even the smell of Arwen. Yes, that was really, that hurt. The fact that it could not be her, not completely.

Aragorn reached out and held out his hand to his face, brushing cheek gently with his fingertips. He had done it before, and that gesture the elf had always felt a strange emotion.
"Legolas ..."

The elf began to speak almost without realizing it.
"You should come back to her?"

The man had a slight tremor, and quickly lowered his gaze. He remained motionless for a long moment, her eyes fixed on the ground, something like trying to say. Then he nodded slowly.
"Excuse me," she whispered. And what exactly I apologized not even know him, but he felt doverglielo say. Then he went briskly without looking back.

Legolas stood looking at him as he walked away. He wanted to chase and stop it. How many things he wanted to tell him, but had no effect, at that time. It was little enough, and the spell was broken. It was the right thing. He could not let that story go forward. It was not fair to Arwen, and how she hated to admit it, was not able to handle it. She breathed deeply, trying to ignore the tears that had started to moisten the eyes. He would not cry, not even himself. He did not want to admit to suffer so much for a stupid death. Yet, all this hurt him, he suddenly felt insecure and alone again, as he had just given up something important. And necessary.

***

Confused and disheartened, Aragorn walked towards his room.
You should come back to her? Legolas' words were like a slap in the face. That was fully deserved.
pursed his lips, wondering what the elf was thinking of him now. Probably she had seen him as he spoke with Arwen, or someone had told them. It certainly could not blame him, if he was angry. His behavior was not transparent, and even less honest, neither to him nor to Arwen. He realized.

You should come back to her? Those words still echoed in his mind, as the image of his face shrouded in gloom. The had looked into his eyes before speaking. But in his eyes had not read contempt or hatred. He had seen only disappointment, and suffering. His conduct had hurt him.
He stopped. He wanted to go back and tell him what he felt, but he could not make clear in the mixed feelings that stirred in his heart. He was attracted to him, terribly. He loved to Arwen, was a wonderful person. But what I feel for Legolas was something different, something intense and overwhelming that confused him.
He turned for a moment to observe it from afar. Hardly saw his profile in the night light that was too weak to his eyes from the human. He remained motionless, with his back the trunk of a tree, staring at the ground. An image dark and melancholy, which he himself was the cause.

walked on, reached in a few minutes the building and climbed the stairs up to his room. As I walked the long corridors still thought of Arwen.
had gone into the garden to walk around and talk about them. They had stopped on the bridge, and she had taken her hands as she spoke. A slight breeze brushes her hair from her face and moved the hem of his robes. Her white dress looked almost luminous in the moonlight, silver embroidery and caught the sparkle of the stars. It was so beautiful and fragile, in that moment, a diaphanous creature, made of light and magic. Yes was removed from his neck, and habitually wore the pendant that had given him.
"So I will always be with you told him, as if to repeat his promise.
And he, as always, had recalled their differences of race, and the gift of immortality to which she wished to discontinue. At that moment he felt guilty, as he thought of Legolas. He had faced a marvelous creature, which in its purity gave him all of herself, giving up what bound her to her people. And he had betrayed. Because what he thought and felt, for Legolas, was a betrayal of her.
The elf, as every time he had repeated his decision, but at that moment, he saw a shadow through the face. For a moment, and for the first time he saw the doubt in his eyes, and told him what he had experienced in the days when Elladan ran the risk of dying or having to give up his light. His speeches were confused, contradictory. Perhaps that incident had forced her to think about what was really dead. Perhaps he no longer felt secure in her choice.
Aragorn could not blame her. Their union was impossible, she had always known. And how many times he had insisted that Arwen would reflect more. If we now had changed his mind, he should be the first to understand it. Strangely, at that moment, I worried more about Legolas's opinion against him.

sighed, rubbing his face with the palms of your hands. She always felt attracted to the wrong people. Even Legolas was immortal, and would hardly be considered if not for a simple friendship. Maybe it was attracted by his appearance and had approached. But now probably felt deceived by the ambiguous behavior that had held against him, and would no longer trusted him. It was certainly the case. He had lost, even as a friend.
She threw herself on the bed without even taking off his clothes, and stood looking at the full-length profile of the branches of trees that tended toward the window. He felt so stupid. He had the attention of two wonderful creatures, and had betrayed them both. But on the other hand, were both too much for him, and never had any case neither. It was something I had always known. He grew up among the elves, but that was different from them. He had always known, but it was so bad, now.

In the days after several people came to Imladris. The first to arrive was Boromir, the eldest son of the Steward of Gondor, which followed a group of dwarves led by Gimli son of Gloin king. Dwarves and elves had a low opinion of one another, Elrond had always kept a good relationship in terms of diplomacy with Gloin, but between the two peoples there was never was a true friendship. Gimli was also this time to discuss some issues related to the security policy of Middle-earth, not for a pleasant visit to the King

Last to arrive was Enedhil, prince of the kingdom Woody, escorted by some warriors.
Legolas felt his heart swell with joy at seeing his brother, he ran against in and joined him again before he descended from his horse. She looked for a moment, her blond hair in contrast to the long dark green cloak, his face smiling but a bit 'pulled by the fatigue of travel. She held out a hand to help him get off and then threw his arms around his neck and clung to him.
"I missed you" she said, and smiled. At

evening, dinner was held in a large hall. Elrond asked his guests to sit at his table, men, elves and dwarves. They ate quietly, speaking of the most diverse subjects except those who were closest to his heart, lest we see the birth of discussion and because everyone knew that the forces of evil scheming in the shadows, but no one knew exactly what was happening. Everyone wanted to know, but at the same time they were afraid to speak.

Celebrían Lady had been in his apartment. Beside the King, sat the three children and Aragorn. In front of them Gimli, Boromir, Legolas and Enedhil. When he met Aragorn in front of the door of the saloon, Legolas greeted him with kindness and presented him with his brother. Then he gave him no longer the word, if not forced. Behaved politely and courteously, and no one had noticed anything, except the twins who, being accustomed to see them laugh and talk all the time, were astonished at the coldness but they were questions. Arwen also noticed it, and asked no questions, for fear of being indiscreet.

The next morning, Elladan and Elrohir and Legolas Enedhil proposed to go out for a ride. The inner part of the Valley was safe, because the sentries guarding the crossing points and all the steps, so the four youths decided to take a quiet day away from the building. They had all four need to rest. Actually, the twins Aragorn had also invited, but the fugitive had refused with an excuse. The four
elves spent the morning riding through the meadows covered with flowers, and walking through the undergrowth. Around lunch time we sat at the foot of the trees, sheltering in the shade of their leaves and eat a frugal meal of bread and fresh fruit dessert, chatting about this and that. Elladan finished eating he got up stretching and walked a few paces to lie in the sun, the brother teased him, calling him a sleeper then got up and lay down beside him. Legolas smiled, their love in those moments was so sweet and clear, at least for those who could read their expressions and movements. She turned her face towards Enedhil who sat beside him, leaning against the trunk of a big tree, and asked for news of family, his brother began to speak of his father and brothers, the last events of their kingdom and closest friends. Legolas smiled and listened, interrupting from time to time to ask him questions. It had been only weeks since he left home, but it seemed they had been away for ages.
Suddenly Enedhil put her arm around her shoulders, pulling him gently. Legolas let him, leaned his forehead to his cheek and closed his eyes. The light of the midday sun caressed the huge lawn around them, turning the green and thousands of colors. All around, the silence was broken only by the hum of insects in the grass and flowers.
was in that quiet moment, as he felt his brother's arms tighten around him, that he had not realized how really, what he needed to see it, feel the breath of air in the home that he had brought with him the scent of its forests and its far-off land. Curled up against him and listened to his voice.

Enedhil continued to hold him, stroking his hair. He had suffered much for the long separation, as it was not a part of himself. From left him only because he knew that was what the younger brother in need. He wanted to go to help the twins, she wanted to do for them what he could not do for himself. He needed to regain its security. Now I had done. Finally we had found, and would return home together, he was sure. Then maybe things would go as before, they would spend every day together, as they had always done. She felt him move slightly
, and bowed his head to brush her forehead with her lips. It did not seem real yet to be able to tighten the arms.
He went to Imladris Elrond to warn of the escape of Gollum from the subterranean prisons. Flight in which he had certainly been helped by the dark forces. They were all very concerned, because this confirms that the evil was in Mordor really starting to move. But at that moment everything seemed to Enedhil less scary, because finally meet him was his beloved brother, and whatever had happened, they would be together again.

A few days later he held a secret council called by Elrond. Was attended by the King, his two sons, Aragorn, the closest advisers and guests. Among them were Gandalf, Frodo, the mezz'uomo who had been brought to Imladris by Glorfindel, Legolas and his brother, Boromir, and some dwarves, including Gimli. They talked of many things, the situation of the different kingdoms of evil that was moving against them all. And we talked Ring, the One Ring, all of which had somehow heard about it but no one had ever seen. It was known that had belonged to Gollum, for hundreds of years, but now, with the surprise of all, he had Frodo. After much discussion, and a great argument generally made a decision: Frodo would have brought the Ring to Mordor to be destroyed, and would be accompanied by Gandalf, Aragorn, Boromir, Legolas and Gimli. The group is also joined by Sam, Merry and Pippin, the three young hobbit Frodo's friends. They were not warriors, but the friendship that bound them, urged them to leave all together.

The Council had lasted only a few hours, and during those hours had seen Enedhil fade hopes to return home along with Legolas. When he saw his brother Elrond choose to represent the race of Elves in the Fellowship of the Ring, he had felt his breath stop for a moment. He wanted to stand up and ask to go with them, but could not.
looked with envy at the young hobbit who have participated in the expedition. Just learned that Frodo would leave, decided to follow him, and nothing would have prevented him. They were free, without the obligations that he had. He wanted to be prince, and have no duties to his people. Then he would leave himself, Legolas to follow, to help him, protect him. And do not leave him alone. But given the situation, was forced to return home. This time the Their separation was to last a long time. Inwardly prayed to the Valar protect her beloved brother, who took him home soon. Could not bear to lose him.
